Accommodation
Types of accommodation available:
Private ward: Includes personal bathroom, Television and extras.
General ward - Two bed wards with on suite bathroom. Each bed has their own television.
HDU
Close unit for close monitoring of seriously ill patients. Restricted visiting and immediate family only
Admission
The admission process guidelines, for your convenience:
All non-urgent admissions on medical aid must have pre-authorization from their medical aid
A parent may stay with a sick child but there are additional costs for accommodation and meals.
To speed up admissions on booked cases the doctors rooms must do pre booking with as much detail as possible.
There are shortfalls on most local medical aids and some medical aids are not accepted. Please enquire at reception.
Discharge
When leaving the hospital please ensure that your medical aid invoices are all signed or paid in full if you are a private patient.
Please collect your medication and x-rays from the various departments.
Patients undergoing surgery under anaesthetic should arrange for transport from hospital.
Visitor Information
We value what difference the support of close family and friends can make.
We also have to be aware of the rest of our patients needs and have provided certain designated times:
General wards:
11:00 to 12:00 and 17:00 to 18:00 daily
Two visitors per patient only
No under 12 year olds unless pre-authorized by management
HDU
10:00 to 10:30
16:00 to 16:30 ONLY
Immediate family only
No children
Two visitors per patient
